Plataforma arquitectura

Imagen
Plataforma arquitectura is a blog website, where architecture and urbanism projects are published, I visit the website very often, almost every day, because I find almost all the projects I am looking   for. every day our professors recommend projects to us and I look for them on the architecture platform. I like this website because it has reliable information and graphic material such as plans and section cuts, it has very good pics that help to understand the projects and that is what I like the most. It is also very useful to look for references when we do not have much creativity and this site can inspire us to develop our own projects. I recommend this website to people who study architecture and to people without experience who are interested in this subject, it is very easy to use and has good pictures to understand the projects, it is entertaining to watch a good time architectural projects from around the world. webside link: https://www.plataformaarquitec...

How can your major make the world a better place

Imagen
Hi guys Well as some of you know I am studying architecture. Our physical environment directly affects our life and behavior. When I was a child I lived in a place that was not very friendly to families and children, because it was dangerous, there were no playgrounds or parks nearby and that meant that we could not always leave the house and it was very boring. When I turned four years old we moved to a town and we were very happy because it was a familiar and quiet place, very different from the city life we had before. There were parks, businesses close by, children and family in the streets. During these years I realize that the things that surround us influence how we feel, like the architecture where we do social life can give us tranquility or make us feel danger, that is why my greatest desire is to contribute to society by creating friendly environments with people, that children can develop in a place that makes them happy with their family, that low-income people can ...

A photo and its story

Imagen
Searching through my photos I found this one, where I am with my sister at an ice rink in the winter of 2018. Many of us miss life before the pandemic, including me. At that time I didn't have many responsibilities and I really enjoyed the time with my sister, unfortunately things have changed and it's not like that anymore, but this photo I have it saved as a good memory. That day gave me a lot of peace and we laughed a lot because we only knew how to skate on wheels, not with blades on the ice. The Araucano Park in Las Condes and its architecture left me in awe. I hope someday to go back there and skate on the ice rink.

My favorite food

Imagen
My favorite food is italian food, specifically pasta, to prepare it, a dough of flour, water and oil must be made, but there is a wide variety of pastas and the ones I like the most are the gnocchi, just need make a dough of flour, olive oil, water and mashed potatoes, make small balls and boil them in water, when the gnocchi begin to float, they are ready to serve. The most delicious thing about gnocchi is the sauce with which it can be accompanied, it can be bolognese or cheese sauce or both at the same time. when I was a child we would always visit Italian restaurants with my mother and sister to celebrate birthdays, Mother's Day or because in ''La piccola italia'' restorant it was ''L'Ora felice'', when there were very cheap dishes between 16:00pm and 18:00pm. Those visits made me very happy and I think pastas in general are very easy to prepare at home.   Gnocchi are not very healthy because it is only flour and potato, I recommend eatin...

My Favourite Piece of Technology

Imagen
My smartphone is the piece of technology I like the most because I can do a lot of things with it and it is very efficient, for example watching or making content or just looking up information quickly. It helps me a lot to be able to communicate easily with my family and friends and share memes, especially in this time of pandemic where it is almost impossible to be close and have a conversation. Really my favorite thing to do on my smartphone is to search Pinterest for inspiration for my architecture, photography and painting projects. I also like to share pictures on Instagram of what I like or what I do on a daily basis -I think almost everyone does that already- but to be honest sometimes it causes me a lot of stress and takes up a lot of my time. I recommend to have a smartphone because it is very fun and useful for our fast-paced lives, but I would also like all of us to have a more conscious use of this without taking away importance from the people around us or n...

Why did I choose my major?

Imagen
Hi Guys! When I was little I didn't used to care about my profession, but I liked many things, like mathematics for example, and I was always good at school. My mom says that when I was a little girl I wanted to be a math teacher, but I don't really like children.  Over the years I realized that I enjoyed making my barbies houses, when I was a teenager I loved playing The Sims on my laptop, I still enjoy decorating and creating my sims houses.  When I finished high school, I was going to study gastronomy without any reason , so I decided to study one year in a pre-university as a personal challenge and to think about what to study finally.  After much effort and research I decided to study architecture and apply to the Universidad de Chile. I really love my university career, it has been hard but it has also been one of my best experiences -except for the pandemic that ruined my plans-, every new thing I learn makes me more interested in architecture, I am always s...

Hi everyone! My name is Rosario Velásquez but my friends call me Ro. I was born on June 7th 2000, I'm currently 20 years old. I lived the first four years in Recoleta, Santiago. When I was four years old, I moved with my mother and siblings to commune to Paine, where I currently live. I have one brother and two sister, I’m the youngest. I remember when we arrived to new house we were very poor, the first few days there was only one bed and little food. I didn't want to be there, I just wanted to go back to my dad. It was very sad for me. Days later I made many friends and it made me very happy. My first years of study were at the Paula Jaraquemada school. The teacher told my mom that I was too intelillent to be in that school so she changed me to Las Americas school, but in the new school I had very bad grades and I was almost expelled, i really hated school, i just liked play volleyball with my friends and sing ''Feliz Cumpleaños'' -in español and english- in ...
